HOW TO COOK WITH YOUR KIDS

We simply want to get in and out of the kitchen! Do you have days when you just don't want to be bothered? You really don't want to be in the kitchen, cooking or preparing anything.... Then your Lil Chef comes in to help. LET THEM! You will be so surprised how much they can take off your hands, what that bonding time can do for both of you and how much they learn, if you let them be a part of the process.

When you are pressed for time, you need and want to get it over with... Here's What You Do: Doesn't matter what you're preparing, While you are at the stove with pots and pans...
  1. Have bowls and safe utensil they can reach labeled for them to read and get for you.
  2. Give them a chair at the counter or kitchen table to open boxes you will need.
  3. Allow them to hand you items from the pantry or fridge ( keep it simple- butter, ketchup, cheese, etc.) If you're feeling brave for the moment, let them pour.
  4. Allow them to cleanup some of your peelings of fruits, veggies or empty boxes and wrappers.

You will be surprised what this time together will do for both of you and soon before you know it, they will be cooking for YOU.
